I'm Caitlyn,
You can call me Cait
I am the owner of Inner Illumination Therapy and Counseling, LLC.
I am a master’s-level therapist, licensed as an LPC, with specialized training in EMDR therapy to support clients in processing trauma and fostering healing.
Therapy is not just a profession—it’s a calling.
I specialize in helping women heal from trauma, whether it’s from childhood, family dynamics, or painful relationships. Many of the women I work with grew up with emotionally immature or emotionally unavailable parents and learned early on to take care of everyone else. They often became the parentified child, the scapegoat, or the peacemaker, and now they’re ready to break those patterns and reconnect with their true self.

Together, we create space to quiet the noise and help you come home to yourself.
In our sessions, I use IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR therapy to gently explore what’s coming up in the present and how your past experiences and belief systems might still be influencing your life today. I may also incorporate tarot as a creative way to tap into your intuition and bypass the overthinking “monkey mind.”
My approach isn’t about pretending everything is light and love, it’s about building the resilience and capacity to face life’s challenges with more peace, strength, and self-trust.
Healing isn’t about avoiding the darkness; it’s about learning to move through it with compassion and awareness.
You’ve spent years making yourself smaller, dimming your light, and bending to fit in. You avoid ruffling feathers, so you soften your voice and push down your own needs to keep everyone else comfortable. But inside, you’re exhausted and burnt out. You overthink, replay conversations, and wonder if you’re too much—or not enough. You may feel invisible in relationships, or like you’re never quite chosen in the way you choose others. Over time, this pattern chips away at your sense of who you really are. You may feel disconnected from your own feelings, unsure of what you want, or afraid to assert yourself. What started as a desire to keep peace has become a habit of self-abandonment, leaving you wondering if being yourself is “too much” for anyone to handle.
